With my grow your own Herbidacious starter kit, this has never been easier. Suitable for rural or urban gardens this grow your own kit has the highest quality products to allow for the best start. All material is bio-degradable or recyclable and is sourced from within the UK, with the seed coming from UK-DEFRA registered seed merchants. All seeds comply with EC rules and standards where applicable and each herb seed packet is clearly labelled with specis and variety name, date packed, date to sow by and weight or quantity.

Orange Scented Thyme – Thyme with a aromatic foliage
Orange Scented Thyme is a delightfully aromatic garden herb, excellent both in the kitchen and as a hardy, evergreen, ground covering plant. It thrives best in well-drained light soil and enjoys a sunny, sheltered position. Trailing varieties of Thyme look great in pots, especially the golden and variegated varieties. Thyme is a low-growing perennial. It’s grey-green leaves are extremely aromatic and it’s tiny flowers are highly attractive to bees. Orange Scented Thyme leaves have a delicious fragrance blending balsam and oranges, which are at their best just before flowering. In the kitchen it’s strong citrus tang leaves no bitter aftertaste making this an excellent flavouring herb for stuffings and casseroles. Fresh Thyme has a softer flavour than the dried herb. Drying Thyme intensifies its flavour two or three fold.
Oregano – Bushy and delicious, ideal flavouring for a range of foods
This hardy perennial herb has sweet smelling, aromatic foliage which is commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine. Try it sprinkling oregano on lamb or pork before cooking. A great addition to pizzas and omelettes. Oregano, also known as Pot Marjoram makes a useful and low maintenance addition to the herb garden. The flowers produced in summer and autumn can also be used for flavouring after they have been gently dried. Height and spread: 45cm. Attractive to butterflies and bees.
Garlic Chives – Delicate and tasty leaves and stalks!
Garlic chives, or Chinese chives, differ from ordinary chives in having flat leaves and have a delicate mild garlic flavour. They can be used in the same way as chives and are excellent in salads, stews, fish, egg or meat dishes. The flower buds are a Chinese delicacy and can be eaten raw, stir fried or added to scrambled eggs. A versatile and easy to grow perennial for the herb garden. Height: 50cm (20″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
